French Onion Dip
Packed with the flavor of caramelized onion, this creamy dip will be sure to have you dipping again and again.
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 medium sweet onion, quartered and thinly sliced
2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper
½ cup Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise
¾ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons minced chives, divided
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried onion
Sea Salt Flatbreads for serving
In a large sauté pan, add olive oil and onions. Cook on medium-high for 8 minutes, stirring several times then add in vinegar and season generously with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook onions until caramelized, about 25 minutes. Once onions are caramelized, chop roughly so that no long strands remain.
In a medium bowl, mix onions with mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon minced chives, garlic powder and dried onion. Season to taste and serve chilled with flatbread.
